Swim MeetsNot everyone on our team competes, but many do and we always encourage participation. Competition is a great way to increase your enjoyment of the sport. It gives you something to look forward to and focus on while training, and benchmarks to use for measuring your improvement. With the Piranhas your competition is your self. We are interested in personal achievement, personal best times, and enjoyment of the water. Other swimmers in the pool may be used as a means to pace yourself, but never in a "you must beat this person" maner. Swim meets encourage bonding between team members and strengthen the team. Your team mates will cheer you on as you swim to beat your own best times and generate a great deal of excitement for all participating and spectating. So if you're someone that likes a challenge, dive right in and join us when we go. We'll help you work towards achieving your personal best! If you have any questions regarding meets, feel free to talk to our Head Coach Mark and/or any of the coaches on deck.
